MovableType went Open Source

I don’t know how I missed it, but on December 12, 2007 Movable Type went Open Source. Movable Type is a professional publishing platform. Thats what they say on their front page. Can’t fool me, I know its a blog platform. Ha Ha! This is great news of course if you are using Movable Type as your platform.

Now the question would be, is there a reason I would want to start a blog in Movable Type instead of WordPress, or Blogger? Wish I had time to figure that out.

I am just glad we have another choice when it comes to blogging platforms.
